The Polar Express

Well, it looks like another entire month has gone by since I have blogged! I can't believe how busy things have become and how time has flown by. Sine I started my new job, it is hard to fit everything in (yes, in case you haven't heard, I am working at Stamin' Up now).

My ONE goal for this weekend was to post on my blog, so YAY I did it!

We took the kids up to Heber a few weeks ago to ride the Polar Express. They had such a good time. On the way to the "North Pole", we had cookies and cocoa and read the story of the Polar Express. There was even a cute little conductor who punched our tickets after we got on the train. When we arrived at the North Pole we picked up Santa and headed back to Heber. On the way back he visited with all of the children and gave them a special gift - -a silver bell, just like in the book! This was our second time on the Polar Express (Cambria's first) and it was tons of fun. I highly recommend it to anyone who has young children.

Fall

It's been a while since I've posted, but here are a few pages I made from a few weeks ago when the kids and I stopped to play in the leaves on the way home from a fun afternoon outing.

Glamorous

I love watching all the neighbor girls play together. Cambria just sits and lets them paint her nails and put make up on her.

Ready for Halloween??

I LOVE these pics. They were from 2 years ago but I'm just now getting around to scrapping them. **For those of you who think I am so efficient with scrap booking, this proves I am SO NOT! If you ask Cambria what a witch says she'll tell you: "You ha ha"
Everything on the LO is from Heidi Larsen's new kit, Hootfest October - -available at Little Dreamer Designs.

Fall Fun

I absolutely love Fall - -I think it might even be my favorite season. The weather is just right, not too hot and not too cold (usually). I love the changing leaves, caramel apples, pumpkins and of course Halloween!

We had a busy day on Saturday. First we went to Conner's football game where my brother Robert got some fabulous pictures. I especially love the bottom right picture. They didn't win the game, it was 7-0 but at least they didn't get creamed!

After the game we went to lunch with Grandma and Papa and Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Adam and Gavin. Then we headed to the pumpkin patch. There were a lot of fun things to do. We went down the "hay bale" slides, went through the corn mazes and then on a tractor ride out to the field to pick our own pumpkins. Other than the mosquitoes eating us alive, it was so much fun!

Football season is officially here!!

After weeks of practice and the stress of having to loose weight (I KNOW!), Conner finally had his very first ever tackle football game. It was so much fun to watch. They even won, 21-0! Conner got the first touch down of the game. He was so excited.

As if THAT weren't enough fun for one day, he and Ryan went to the BYU football game later that afternoon and then came home to play football on the PlayStation!!

Visit with Grandma and Poppy Cox

Ryan's parents cam for a short visit last weekend and stayed with us. It was fun having them here. I wish they lived closer so that the kid could get to know them better. Cambria cried when they left. It was very sad. Thanks for coming guys, we had a great time!

Golfing at Boondocks with G&G Cox, Chalyce and Coaltin. It was SO HOT!!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is mine and Ryan's Anniversary! We have been married for 14 years. I can't believe it! We have actually been together for 18 years. That's slightly more than half of my life. CRAZY!!! I remember the day he asked me to marry him. It's actually kind of a sad story, but don't worry, it worked out (obviously). We were both living in Kamas at the time and were heading down to Salt Lake for a date. He was planning to take me on a carriage ride around Temple Square and propose during the ride. I think it was January (1994) and there was a huge blizzard that night - -not to mention freezing temperatures. On the way down to Salt Lake we'd had some sort of argument, over who knows what, and neither of us were in the best of moods. The roads were too snowy to continue down the canyon so we turned around to head home. It was just as well, since we were barely speaking anyway. Out of the blue he reached over and took the ring box out of the glove compartment, gave it to me and told me what his plan had been. The ring was gorgeous!! I started to cry, of course. I was happy, yet I had an unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach. I gave the ring back. THAT'S RIGHT, I gave it back and told him that maybe he'd better hang on to it for a while longer. So he did. Here's that part even he may not know about: Ryan worked nights and sometimes while he was at work, I'd go over to his house, sneak into his safe and try the ring on. I really wanted it back but didn't feel that I deserved to even think about asking for it. A few months later, in March, he tried asking again and I finally said YES!!!! We were married five months later. So I guess now it's happily ever after.

I love you honey, you are the best thing that ever happened to me (well, not including the kids), but your the FIRST best thing . . . .

Ballet

Cambria started ballet classes today. I was a little unsure of how it would go - -with her being so shy and all. I worried for nothing, she did great! She had so much fun and can't wait to go back next week. All of the girls were so adorable!
Cambria, her friend Lizzy and Avery

Cambria, Lizzy and some random girl who wanted her picture taken. (maybe I should have blurred her out for internet blog/stalker purposes)?? Oh well, I guess if her mom let's her get her picture taken with strangers she's probably not to concerned. . . .

10 already!!

Conner is 10!! I can't believe it! Where has the time gone? We took him and 4 of his friends to Raging Waters for his birthday. They had so much fun!

Never mind that it's a HOT 95 degrees outside today, Cambria decided it was a great day to wear tights. Why couldn't she have at least picked the white ones with purple flowers???

BY THE WAY . . . .Everything is going great with the new dog. Except for when he crawled under the fence a few days ago and was lost for 3 hours. That was before he had a tag with his name and phone number on it. We searched and searched and SEARCHED for him but could not find him anywhere. Thanks to our fabulous neighbors, the Dipo's he finally made it home safely. Other than that, he (and we) are adjusting well. NOW Cambria says she wants a zebra for a pet, but not a lion because they are too scary and not an elephant because they are too . . . . . . . . loud!

Our latest addition!

We got a dog!!
The kids have been wanting a dog for awhile (well, mostly Cambria). Never mind that I have wanted a dog FOREVER, but when CAMBRIA wants a dog, it's suddenly a great idea. Anyway . . . he came with the name Rosco, which I think we will keep. He is a Shorkie (a mix between and shih tzu and a yorkie - -I personally don't see any yorkie in him). He is around three years old. We wanted an older dog that wouldn't be quite as hyper as a puppy. We also didn't want one that was going to chew everything up. Oh, he's potty trained too (yay). He slept on Conner's bed with him last night since that is the only furniture I will allow. When Conner woke and came down stairs this morning Rosco was SO excited to see him! Looks like he found a new buddy.
I haven't been able to take any good pictures of him with the kids yet because he won't sit still with them long enough.

Oregon

Cambria and I took a quick trip to Oregon to visit my Grandpa Pitcher. We went with my mom and dad, Jennifer, Adam and baby Gavin. It was a quick trip but we had a great time. The only thing that would have made it better is if Ryan and Conner could have come too.

Visiting with Grandpa
The beach - - it was a treacherous hike!!

Lunch at our favorite spot, Mo's

Visiting Grandma Pitcher's grave.

Dinner with the cousins. Cambria had lots of fun.

It's gonna be HOT today!

With a high of at least 100 degrees today we have to cool off somehow!!

The boys made over $10 each selling lemonade!

Yellowstone Bear World

We took a quick trip to Idah over Memorial Weekend to take the kids to YellowStone Bear World. It was tons of fun! There was a riverwalk right behing our hotel. It was very cold and rainy, but the trees were so pretty!
Of course we NEVER stay at a hotel without a pool. We spent a lot of time here. Conner was quite a goofball! There was never anyone else there so we had the pool all to ourselves.
At Bear World, we got to see the baby bear cubs who were only a few weeks old. Cambria was so sad that she didn't get to feed them a bottle like she saw some of the other kids doing. She was too young. In the petting zoo we fed the goats, deer, roosters and the big pig!! We rode the tour truck and were able to feed the bears. Their favorites were donuts and fruit pies.

Father's Day pictures

For Father's Day, we had a BBQ at my brother and sister-in-law's house. It was very relaxing and the food was so yummy! Thanks Robert and Christy. :)
Ryan gave the kids and I presents for Father's day too. He said if it weren't for us he wouldn't be a father. Awwww, sweet. WE LOVE YOU!!!!

First Pool Party of the Year!!

Ryan got the pool set up and ready to go so that it would be warm in the afternoon by the time we got home from errands. We hadn't even gotten out of the car before all the neighbor kids arrived in their suits and ready to swim. I think I counted 11 of them in or around the pool at one point - - some I didn't even know!

Testing the water to see if it's warm yet.

Everyone got out so that Miss Priss could go down the slide!!

Fashion Diva!

Someone call the fashion police 'cuz last I checked, stripes and plaid did not go together (as far as clothing is concerned). It all started when she got a teeny tiny drop of juice on her shirt and decided she needed to put on a whole new outfit. This is what she came up with - - all on her own! Adorable, isn't it?

Welcome Baby Gavin!!

Isn't he ADORABLE!!
Baby Gavin was born on Monday, April 7th -- about a week early! Everything went great. He (and mommy) are doing really well.
As you can see, Cambria adores him, as does Conner. A few nights ago Conner said to me, "I'm thinking of stealing baby Gavin - - -well not really, but he's just so cute!!" I had to agree!

Happy Easter - 8 days late!

Better late than never, right??

Here are the kids in their new Easter clothes. Cambria was so excited that her baby had a matching dress!
