Looks like I was wrong. She came out after all, with a little help. Quinley was born on Wednesday, October 21st at 2:06 PM. She weighed 6lb. 11oz. We went to the hospital at 7:30that morning to be induced. To be honest, it took longer than I expected since I usually have quick labor/deliveries. Everyone had bets on when she would arrive. All the guesses were between 10:30 and 12:00 that morning. After 12:00 and I still wasn't ready to deliver, we had to come up with new times. My guess was 2:05. At around 1:55, the nurse said it was time, and called the doctor. She arrived shortly after, and the nurse told her we had 3 minutes to deliver so that I could win the bet. Four minutes later Quinley arrived!!! She is so sweet. The kids (and Ryan, aka baby hog) just can't get enough of her.
These adorable pictures were taken by my sweet friend Nicole who came all the way from Wyoming to see us. Thanks Nicole, love ya!

Baby Cox Update
Conner was about 7 days early and Cambria came 10 days early (induced), so I had my heart set on Baby Q coming sooner than her due date of October 24th. Only 11 days to go so I will try to be patient, but if anyone has any suggestions to get things started, let me know.
Oh yeah, we decided to name her Quinley Ann (against Conner's wishes). :)

Ready for Halloween and a Word of Warning!
Warning about the Material Girls Quilt Shop: If you love to sew . . .or wish you could sew, this store could possibly drain you financially! I don't really consider myself a seamstress, but the moment I walked into this dangerous store, I had the desire to learn to sew. They have the CUTEST fabric ever! And I do mean CUTEST fabric EVER!!! As I said, I don't sew, but after discovering my new favorite shop, I have made bibs, nursing covers, diaper bags, appliqued onesies and my latest creation . . this adorable Halloween skirt (thanks to a little help from my mom).
Journaling says: Cambria was so excited about the skirt I made her, she wanted to wear it the next day, even though it's only September! We had to take pictures because she looked so cute! She calls these her "Hanna Montana" poses.Wednesday, August 26, 2009
Cute Hair Day
We decided to try something new with Cambria's hair today. When we finished, she said "that was easy hair." And it was.
We got the idea from here:
Webelo Scouts
Conner finally earned his Webelo Scout badge; the last badge earned as a Cub Scout. Now, he moves on to Boy Scouts. Good job Conner, we are proud of you.

Happy Birthday Conner!
I can't believe Conner is 11! It doesn't seem like 11 years have passed.
He had a sleep over birthday party with his friends the night before his "real" birthday. On Saturday, his actual birthday, we went to dinner with the family and then came home for cake and presents. As you can see, we had a little mishap with the cake. Ryan was moving it to the table so we could sing happy birthday and Conner could blow out the candles; it was so slippery that it slid right off the tray and onto the floor. It was such a mess! Being the awesome father that he is, Ryan ran right out and got another cake (cake #2).
Did I mention cake #1 was doomed from the start? I ordered it over the phone and when Ryan went to pick it up, they had written on it: Happy Birthday Comnner. Umm, who's Comnner? Ryan asked for a discount or for them to fix the cake . . so they scrapped off Comnner and wrote Conner. It didn't look so hot. I'd show you a picture but I didn't get one taken before the great fall.

Ballet Recital
Cambria had her first dance recital a few weeks ago. She has been in ballet since last August and finally got the chance to perform. I honestly wasn't expecting much - -you never know what will happen their first time on stage. She did great (as far as 4-year-old ballet dancers go). She did the whole routine (watching the girl next to her) and was adorable! She is burnt out on dance so we didn't sign up again. Now she wants to try gymnastics.
Still no name . . .
So . . . Baby Cox still doesn't have a name. There are so many to choose from. I don't want it to be too crazy, or too plain, yet a little different. We have a few in mind but I just can't decide. I am not one of those people who just "knows" what to name my baby the second she's born. If Cambria has her way, she will be named either Snow White or Cinderella. I am pretty sure those won't be in the running.
The doctor is a little concerned that she isn't growing like she should. When I went for my first ultra sound at the beginning of June, she was in the 43 percentile for growth but four weeks later when I went for my doctor appointment and they measured my belly, it hadn't grown at all. They sent me for another ultra sound last week which showed that she is now only in the 20th percentile. I have to try and take it easy (yeah right) and go back in two weeks to look again. They are also worried because my amniotic fluid is a little on the low side. I am sure she will be just fine; I will keep you posted.

Baby Cox
I keep forgetting to post . . . for those of you still wondering . . . it's a GIRL!! She is healthy and still has the same due date of October 24, 09.
This means twice the drama at our house. YAY! Don't get me wrong, I am excited to have another precious little girl, but I'm not sure our house is big enough for two little princess'.
Oh yeah, she doesn't have a definite name yet, so, we are open to suggestions. I keep joking that if we don't find a name we will just name her Goldie. Goldie Cox. ha ha.

Cambria turned 4!
Cambria turned 4 a few weeks ago. I can't believe it, where has the time gone? She is so cute and fun and sweet and sassy and high maintenance and inquisitive and on and on and on. I can't imagine life with out her (or Conner or course).
I try and get a picture of them together every year. I just love how these pictures turned out. (Kiddie Kandids)
