Pathetic!

I haven't looked at/thought about my blog in MONTHS - - almost 7 to be exact! How pathetic is that? With this post, I vow to update my blog within the next 72 hours. Then, maybe I won't feel like I suck. :)

St. Patricks Day at Our House

Here is what the journaling says: Cambria was very excited for St. Patrick's day this year. The day before, she drew the leprechaun a picture ( a piece of paper colored entirely green, since that is his favorite color). She said that if he liked the picture, he would take it and leave her an Asian toy. If he didn't like it, he wouldn't take the picture and would leave her nothing. After further questioning at dinner, we figured out that she actually meant that he would leave her an Irish toy (whew, not really sure where to find an Asian toy). We decided we would make a trap and try to catch the little fella. We left him a juice box, some broccoli, and the pictures she had colored (enclosed in a Ziploc baggie of course, since it was raining out). The next morning, to our surprise, the "trap" had been set off, but no leprechaun. We figured we must have made him angry because he messed up the house, knocking over furniture, leaving cupboards and drawers open, and getting out all the toys! We had a big mess to clean up. He left a trail of four-leaf clovers that led to the heater vent. The toilet water was green, and so was the entire gallon of milk! He took the pictures and ate the treats. Inside the trap was a plate of Hershey Kisses sprinkled with gold! He's a tricky one that little leprechaun, but we will surely get him next year . . if he dares come back!

Valentine's Day Card

As some of you know, I love making valentines to send to my family. Here is this years version. I wanted to make a template in case any of you wanted to download and use it for your valentine card as well, but the downloadable file was huge and took forever to download when I tested it out. I don't know how to make the file more condensed, AND keep all the layers of the card intact, so you can add your own picture. I will have to work on it. SO, if you would like to use this valentine card (minus my kids' picture, obviously), let me know and I can make you one with your own picture and text.

This pic was taken by my cute photographer friend, Nicole Martin.
