St. Patricks Day at Our House

Here is what the journaling says: Cambria was very excited for St. Patrick's day this year. The day before, she drew the leprechaun a picture ( a piece of paper colored entirely green, since that is his favorite color). She said that if he liked the picture, he would take it and leave her an Asian toy. If he didn't like it, he wouldn't take the picture and would leave her nothing. After further questioning at dinner, we figured out that she actually meant that he would leave her an Irish toy (whew, not really sure where to find an Asian toy). We decided we would make a trap and try to catch the little fella. We left him a juice box, some broccoli, and the pictures she had colored (enclosed in a Ziploc baggie of course, since it was raining out). The next morning, to our surprise, the "trap" had been set off, but no leprechaun. We figured we must have made him angry because he messed up the house, knocking over furniture, leaving cupboards and drawers open, and getting out all the toys! We had a big mess to clean up. He left a trail of four-leaf clovers that led to the heater vent. The toilet water was green, and so was the entire gallon of milk! He took the pictures and ate the treats. Inside the trap was a plate of Hershey Kisses sprinkled with gold! He's a tricky one that little leprechaun, but we will surely get him next year . . if he dares come back!
